Pupils from St Anne’s Primary School in Godmanchester are celebrating International Walk to School Month in style thanks to a donation of high visibility clips.
The school has teamed up with house builder Barratt Homes Northampton, which is supporting the campaign by donating hi-visibility equipment for all the pupils to wear on their way to and from school.
As the nights start getting darker, the awareness month aims to encourage pupils to carry on walking to school but to wear high visibility equipment to ensure they are safe and seen.
Maggie Lowin, office manager at St Anne’s Primary School, said: “It is very important to make sure that all children are seen to be safe and very visible as it gets darker in the evenings and with Walk to School month, the clips are just what the school needs to promote this.”
Andrew Swindell, managing director at Barratt Homes Northampton, added: “We wanted to support this local well regarded primary school by donating the high visibility clips to encourage their pupils to walk to school this month and stay safe as the darker nights draw in.”
