A driver has sustained head injuries after being involved in a collision near Fen Drayton in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called between 2 and 3am to rescue a man, in his 30s, who was involved in a single vehicle crash in Boxworth End, Swavesey.
East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) crews attended the scene, along with a Magpas rapid response vehicle and Cambridgeshire police.
A spokesman for Magpas said: “They [paramedics] administered the patient with a general anaesthetic, providing him with A&E level care at the scene, before accompanying the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance.”
The man was in a stable condition upon arrival at the hospital, in Cambridge, and received further treatment for his head injuries.
