Zumba lovers have raised much-needed funds for the Papworth Hospital charity and the British Heart Foundation.
Members of Debs Zumba, taught by Debra Cossey-Mowle, have donated £150 which has been split between the two charities.
The money was raised through a flash mob event that took place in Huntingdon’s High Street, last month, and saw dozens of dancers break out into a impromptu routine, to the delight of shoppers.
Donations were also made by those who attend many of Mrs Cossey-Mowle’s classes.
Last week, a presentation was made to Nigel Cole, fundraising manager for
Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire for the British Heart Foundation and Dr Richard Hodder, a governor at Papworth Hospital charity.
The two charities were chosen by Mrs Cossey-Mowle as they help hundreds of
people in Huntingdonshire every year, including friends.
