A man has died following an incident on the westbound carriageway of the A14 last night (Thursday).
According to Cambridgeshire police, the man fell from the B1049 bridge, near Histon, at about 8pm and was struck by an HGV.
A spokesman for the force said: “Emergency services attended, but the man died at the scene. The road was closed in both directions until roughly 1am.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and will be passed to the coroner.”
An inquest is expected to be opened in the coming weeks.
