An investigation has been launched in a bid to track down a “local landmark” that was stolen from Ramsey Forty Foot.

Cambridgeshire police said thieves stole a full size replica Friesian cow made of fibreglass from an address in Ramsey Road sometime between 5pm on Wednesday, March 14, and 4pm the following day.

The model cow is black and white and has a pink rope around its neck, with a bell.

A spokesman for the force said: “The replica was stolen from a property that overlooks the River Nene and is described as somewhat of a local landmark.

“Anyone who has information about who may have taken this unique item, or who knows where it is now, is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference CF0139990318.”
