Great Northern has announced that all railway lines between Peterborough and Stevenage are blocked.
According to a Twitter message posted by rail operator Great Northern, someone has been hit by a train near Sandy station. Emergency services are on site.
British Transport Police are working to locate their next of kin. Delays are expected on the railways between Stevenage and Peterborough until 8pm.
