Firefighters were called to a blaze in Cottenham yesterday at around 2:57pm after reports of a field on fire.
Crews arrived to find a fire involving between 20 and 30 acres of crop and peat on Twentypence Road.
More than 35 firefighters, including crews from Papworth, Ely, Cottenham, Gamlingay, Littleport, Chatteris and Huntingdon attended the incident.
The fire was extinguished using hose reels and crews returned to their stations by 7.45pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
