The public are invited to visit the excavations going on at Mill Common, in Huntingdon, on Saturday.
The event runs between 10am and 3pm and guided tours of the site will be available.
Archaeologists from MOLA Headland Infrastructure are excavating along the route of the Pathfinder Link Road into Huntingdon, revealing some Romano-British and medieval remains including; a Roman road, ditches and pits.
Guided tours will be available, every half hour from 10am, with the last tour at 3pm. Finds so far include; Romano-British, medieval and post-medieval pottery, animal bones and evidence of later activity, whilst it is also hoped to find evidence from the civil war and the early medieval period.
Visitors to the site - opposite Huntingdon bus station - will be able to see some of the finds from the excavation so far, meet some of the archaeologists from the excavation and find out more about the excavations along the A14. All of the site tours are free.
