Children were treated to a day of excitement at 'Billy's Big Sports Day' in Huntingdon yesterday for Barracudas activity camp's 30th-anniversary celebrations, whilst raising money for the Save the Children Ukraine appeal.

More than 100 children attended, cheering and spurring Billy the Baracuda (the camp mascot) and his friends as they took part in an egg and spoon, javelin, hockey dribbling, bucket ball and relay race.

The children would vote for the character they wanted to win got to participate in the final relay race.

Marketing lead for Barracudas Claire Kanani said: "Billy Barracuda and his new friends bought tonnes of energy and generated loads of excitement amongst the children.

"We’d like to thank all the fantastic children and staff for making this a day to remember and the parents who’ve generously supported the charity. This was a great way to celebrate our birthday."

Afterwards, celebratory cupcakes and party bags were given to the children, and their parents made donations into charity buckets.
