Kirsty Alderson from the 272 (Wisbech) Squadron has been promoted from corporal to the rank of cadet sergeant, making her the most senior female cadet in the squadron.
A cadet since 2010, earlier this year Kirsty attended a leadership course at RAF Cranwell and a tri-service camp in Wisbech. She is a senior member of the squadron band, and also holds the first aid qualification.
She said: “I am really pleased to have reached the rank of sergeant after a lot of hard work.”
Cadet sergeant Alderson received her new rank slides on parade from the officer in charge, Flying Officer Colin Arnold.
