A WOMAN had a lucky escape when she fell into the River Great Ouse at Huntingdon after banging her head.
The 18-year-old was pulled from the river close to Purvis Marina at around 5.10pm on Saturday and was treated by paramedics and Magpas Helimedix Dr Jon Birks and Mark Glover.
The woman was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital by land ambulance and arrived in a stable condition with a suspected fractured jaw.
Dr Birks said, “This woman was extremely fortunate, given the nature of this incident. We expect her to make a full recovery”.
