A RECORD number of people flocked to Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester for the Cambridgeshire Garden Show at the weekend.

The three-day event which is in its 10th year, boasts more than 100 exhibitors, and promotes itself as Cambridgeshire’s equivalent to the Chelsea Garden Show.

Among the attractions were displays from Brampton Flower Club and Cambridge Geranium Society. Around 15,000 people attended.

Matthew Upson, director of Aztec Media, which organises the event, said: “It was our busiest show for five years. We would like to thank all our visitors in Huntingdonshire for supporting this event and our loyal gardeners. We will be back next time bigger and better than ever.” nPictured are staff from Biggleswade-based company A1 Garden Plants.
