ONE person was cut free from a car after a seven-car pile up on the A14 at St Ives on Saturday.

Firefighters from Papworth, St Neots and Huntingdon were called to junction 26 on the westbound carriageway just after 9.30am.

Three people were slightly injured and a further 11 people were uninjured in the incident.

The crash caused traffic to back up to Bar Hill on the A14, and junction 12 to 13 of the M11 was closed as well, with tailbacks going past the Barton junction.

The road was reopened by 11.30am.
