THE votes are now in and being counted and an exit poll from NLP, working for BBC, ITV and Sky predict there will be a hung parliament lead by the Conservative party.
The poll predicts that the Conservatives will secure 307 seats, Labour 255, Liberal Democrats 59 and other parties 29.
This would leave the Conservatives 19 seats short of an outright majority.
This poll, while obviously not guaranteed accurate, is based on 16,500 interviews conducted at 130 polling stations.
