The Anglian Water scheme is due to start this month, taking more than six months to complete. Work begins east of St Neots on the B1046 towards Abbotsley and Great Gransden on Tuesday (May 27). Satnam Kaur from Anglian Water said: A project of this scale will inevitably cause some disruption to residents and were sorry for the impact this will have. We will be doing all we can to keep inconvenience to a minimum. Rather than digging up over 9km of roads in the area, we are using trench-less working techniques for approximately half the length, which means we only need to dig access pits at key points. This will help speed up the work. Residents living along the route will have their water supply switched off when the swap to the new pipes is made and Anglian Water has pledged to let people know when that will happen. A drop-in session for anyone interested in the work will be held at Great Gransdens The Reading Room, Fox Street from 5.30-8pm on Tuesday (May 27). INFORMATION: For more details, call 08457 145145.
