LABOUR has held on to its three Durham seats - City of Durham, Durham North and Durham North West.
The City of Durham result, in particular, will be seen as a big blow to the Liberal Democrats who were aiming to make a gain there, but Labour won with 20,496 votes to the Lib Dem's 17,429.
There was just a 0.4 per cent swing from Labour to the Lib Dems.
