A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire at a housing complex for youngsters in St Neots.

The fire took place in Paines Mill Foyer in Phoenix Square at 1.32am on Saturday (September 26).

It is understood the night porter noticed smoke coming from the third floor and activated the fire alarm.

No one was injured.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had been a small fire that had been confined to one room.

Police said a 16-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of arson and bailed to appear at Huntingdon police station on October 14.
