BRIAN the giant snail visited Huntingdon Nursery School with some of his friends to introduce themselves to the children. Zoolab animal ranger Amanda Freer took along a collection of creatures for the children to look at.
The inquisitive youngsters were left entranced by the creatures. They were able to handle a variety of minibeasts, including Brian, and reptiles such as the four-foot long Tango the snake.
The children had been doing topic work on minibeasts and the school gave them the chance to see the real thing.
CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL: Brian the Giant snail and his new friends Owen, Josh, and George.
