Regarding the article by Ian MacKellar (Hunts Post, August 15) as to the proposal to close Bargroves and the claim that it is underused.

I agree with Mr Wilkie that Cambridgeshire County Council is putting out numbers which are not correct. Also, what they have omitted to state is that no one is being referred to Bargroves at present and I know of three people at least who would like to attend but are forbidden.

This surely affects the numbers attending - but as usual CCC has only given us part of the story.

As a parent of a service-user in Huntingdon, I feel the way CCC has approached these issues is despicable. It was obvious at the meetings held at the different centres, where they said they wanted everyone's views and would take them into account, that they are obviously going to change things no matter what any of us says.
