FOREIGN workers at Fenstanton-based milk supplier Dairy Crest have been given help to learn English by the dairy and the Transport and General Workers Union. In a special ceremony last Monday, they were presented with their certificates from Huntingdonshire Regional College. The lessons have taken place on site at the dairy. The certificates were presented by depot manager Dave Price and T&G regional learning organiser Terry Brandon. Dairy Crest union learning representative, Ken Bamford, said: "This initiative has benefited the company, the individual learners and the union. "Over 40 mainly eastern European workers have received English lessons which help them in their work and in the community.
