A WOMAN was punched in the face several times by a man in Huntingdon High Street.
The incident took place at 10pm on Saturday, October 28, when a couple waiting in the Great Wall takeaway were approached by a man and an altercation occurred. The incident moved into the street and the woman was punched by the man, who then ran away along the High Street.
The woman, aged 49 from Huntingdon, and her partner, a 60-year-old man from the Cambridge area, both suffered minor injuries. Pc Rachel Chandler said: "This is a busy area of town and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact me."
A 47-year-old man from Huntingdon has been arrested on suspicion of affray. He has been bailed to return to Huntingdon Police Station on November 15.
