FAMILIES are being encouraged to wash away their winter blues by booking tickets to see a traditional, fun and lively pantomime.

Huntingdon's panto group, Pantomime '89 are back for their 22nd season of festive family entertainment.

This year's production is Aladdin showing at the Commemoration Hall on December 27, 28 and 29 and January 1, 2 and 3.

The action is set in Old Peking where the happy-go-lucky hero Aladdin falls in love with the beautiful Princess Li-Chee.

Included in the panto mayhem are Widow Twankey, Wishee Washee, chief of police Mee-Nas-Tee, constables Stopie, Lookie and Lee-Sun, emperor Song-Wun-Song, Phee-Ling, Abanazar, Wee-Kid and Hi-Wong.

The show has a comedy script, singing, dancing, colourful costumes and a live band.
