FANCY watching some of the best live music acts in the business before being entertained by some of the country’s best comedians?
Throw in a bit of theatre, books, art and cinema and you have the Latitude Festival for 2012.
The seventh edition of Latitude, the UK’s favourite multi-arts festival, takes place at Henham Park in Suffolk from July 12-15 and we have a pair of weekend tickets to give away.
Headlining this year’s music line up are Bon Iver, Elbow and Paul Weller while world famous concert pianist Lang Lang has been revealed as an exclusive special guest.
Then there’s Wild Beasts, The Horrors, White Lies, Bat For Lashes, Simple Minds, Laura Marling, Buena Vista Social Club, and The Levellers, to give you just a bit more flavour of the quality of the acts that can be found this year at Latitude.
On the comedy front there’s a line up that reads like a who’s who in the laughter industry. Jack Dee, BBC Radio 4’s The Infinite Monkey Cage with Brian Cox and Robin Ince, Reginald D Hunter, Lee Nelson and Dave Gorman will all perform.
The theatrical offerings are of the same quality as there will be performances from the National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe and Sadler’s Wells.
Heading up the literary treats will be Siri Hustvedt, Iain Banks, Mark Haddon, Simon Armitage and Tim Lott with poetry from Benjamin Zephaniah, Tony Harrison, Blake Mirrison and Scroobius Pip.
The entertainment just keeps coming with performances in the Cabaret Arena (including Rich Hall), in the weird and wonderful Pandora’s Playground and the Faraway Forest, which will host a spectacular hoedown on Saturday night as well as a ceilidh and other dances and performances.
It’s also a family friendly with several areas dedicated to entertaining children and teenagers.
Sharon Reuben, Children’s Arena booker, said: “Each year the Children’s Arena gets bigger and better, thanks in part to the hard work and commitment from local organisations to give festival goers a child-friendly, family experience that entertains, educates and liberates.”
To be in with a chance of winning the pair of tickets, just answer the following question:
