I WRITE as a very disappointed resident of Godmanchester, the town that some strangers (who are not welcome) call Greater Huntingdon.
How did you forget to include us as a town that is holding a Remembrance Service (November 4)? You mentioned only four towns in Huntingdonshire: Huntingdon, St. Ives, St. Neots and Ramsey. We do exist, too, and we remember our dead. Yet all the effort made by me and Jeff Dutton, with the help of the police and the county council, to ensure that we hold a civic service by our war memorial for all to attend - with for the first time our town streets being closed to traffic for the period - was not mentioned
The mayor and town council (note the word town) will hold a service for all.
