WORKERS have been evacuated after a fire broke out in a printer factory in St Ives.
Firefighters were called at 10.40am on Tuesday (June 16) to a fire at Linx Printing Technology in Edison Road.
The fire is in a building measuring about 50 metres by 20 metres, which contains various chemicals.
Firefighters have the fire surrounded and are using one jet and two hose reels to extinguish it.
Two crews from St Ives, one crew from Huntingdon and one crew from St Neots and the hazardous materials unit from St Neots were sent to battle the blaze.
It is expected the fire will be out by 1pm and staff allowed back into work.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Workers have been evacuated and those in the nearby area have also been evacuated by the fire service as a precautionary measure.
"There is no risk to public safety."
No one is reported to have been injured.
