HUNDREDS of pounds of damage was caused to a cricket pavilion after vandals smashed their way into the building.
The break-in took place at Waresley Cricket Pavilion in Eltisley Road, Waresley near St Neots at about 10.40pm on Friday, April 3.
A resident heard the pavilion alarm sounding and saw a torchlight inside the building. As he went to investigate he saw a vehicle, described as an American-style saloon car, heading away from the building.
Nothing was stolen during the burglary but considerable damage was caused to an entrance and an alarm system was smashed off the wall.
