MOTORISTS were stuck in lengthy tailbacks on the A14 following two crashes on Thursday (September 24) afternoon.
The first took place just after 12.30pm on the westbound carriageway between Godmanchester and Hemingford Abbots. It involved one lorry and two cars.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said two women and a pregnant woman had been taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital with suspected back or neck injuries.
Less than half an hour later a crash between a car and a motorbike led to westbound lane closures at Spittals Interchange. The road was cleared at 1.45pm.
The 25-year-old male rider of the motorbike was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital with a leg injury.
