TWO people from Huntingdon have been charged in connection with a dog attack that left a four-year-old needing 200 stiches to his face.

George Brown was attacked by an American bulldog while he played outside his home in the Oxmoor area of Huntingdon.

He was badly injured in the attack and had to undergo four hours of reconstructive surgery to his face. The dog was put down.

Two people have been charged with offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act in connection with the attack, which happened on August 14.

A 30-year-old woman from Huntingdon has been charged with four counts of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place, and a 38-year-old man, also from Huntingdon, has been charged with one count of the same offence.

The pair have been bailed to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday).
