WE would like to offer our thanks to your readers for supporting and taking part in the local Meningitis Trust "Walk in the Park" events, including in Hinchingbrooke Country Park, which is part of a series of events to mark the trust's 21st anniversary.
We were delighted to see children involved and supporting the work of the Meningitis Trust. Meningitis is the biggest killer of children under five in the UK, and the money from the Walk in the Park events will go to support families affected by the disease.
The Meningitis Trust has a 24-hour helpline, which is led by nurses specially trained in meningitis. Anyone concerned about meningitis should call 0800 028 1828 or visit our website at www.meningitis-trust.org
