A FAMILY in Huntingdon had a lucky escape when a tree fell through the roof of their house.
Firefighters from Huntingdon were called to Home Farm Road in Houghton after high winds brought down a tree on top of a house at about 2am on Saturday, March 1. One family member had a very lucky escape as they were sleeping in the bedroom directly beneath where the tree landed, causing the ceiling to lower. Fortunately no one was injured.
The tree, which had had a diameter of five foot had been situated in the back garden and also ruptured the water tank when it fell down.
