Traffic on the A428 in St Neots has now returned to normal, after a four vehicle road traffic collision earlier this afternoon.
Cambridgeshire police were called at 12.17pm by the East of England Ambulance Service, with tailbacks running to the A1 as well as Wyboston on Great North Road.
Vehicle recovery was sent to the scene, and queues improved around 4pm.
Details of any injuries are still emerging.
