MOTORISTS were delayed for more than an hour this morning as a burst water main caused traffic chaos in Godmanchester.
Cars were backed up to the A14 roundabout as a result of temporary traffic lights in Post Street, which have been put up by Anglian Water to fix the problem discovered at around 1pm yesterday (Tuesday, December 4).
They are likely to be in place round-the-clock until tomorrow (Thursday, December 6).
Routes into Huntingdon through Spittals Way were slightly better but with drivers trying to avoid the jams in Godmanchester, cars also queued on the A1123, the A141 and the B1514 Hartford Road.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman confirmed there were no accidents or incidents in Huntingdon.
