IT would be fascinating to trace the photo sent by Russell Jones of the three-masted schooner moored at Godmanchester Causeway (Letters, October 8). How did a vessel of that size get through Huntingdon s mediaeval bridge, let alone St Ives Bridge? A Humbe
IT would be fascinating to trace the photo sent by Russell Jones of the three-masted schooner moored at Godmanchester Causeway (Letters, October 8). How did a vessel of that size get through Huntingdon's mediaeval bridge, let alone St Ives Bridge?
A Humber keel or a Norfolk wherry might have made it, but they are single-masted vessels.
