MORE than 2,000 worth of golf equipment was stolen overnight from a golf shop in Ramsey.
The theft took place between 5pm on Wednesday (July 15) and 6.30am on Thursday (July 16) at the Old Nene Golf Club shop in Muchwood.
Thieves are believed to have prised open a pane of glass at the shop and dragged a large quantity of items through the security bars in the window.
A spokesman for the club said this was first time they had been targeted by thieves.
He said items stolen were mostly golf clubs, including irons, drivers, woods and four starter set packages made up of irons and woods. All were part of the MD Golf range, with ladies clubs in pink and men's in yellow.
