AN opportunity to spin honey and learn about wildlife is on offer to people who attend a farm open day at Burleigh Hill Farm in St Ives.
Farmer Mark Schwier is opening his farm to the public along with hundreds of other farmers in a national farm open day taking place on Sunday, June 11, from noon.
Mr Schwier said: "There are so many speakers coming to the open day it is going to be a real treat for people. Anyone interested in food or the countryside will love the open day as it will be a superb opportunity for people to learn more and it's all for free."
The open day has been co-ordinated by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) to promote farming and strengthen the link between food and the countryside.
Activities on the day will include farm walks, children's' activities, bee hive observations and trailer rides.
