POPPADUMS, mango chutney and chicken korma were all on the menu for a group of Huntingdon pre-school children who enjoyed a free lunch at an Indian restaurant.
Fifteen youngsters from the Kids Workshop Pre-School based at Huntingdon Youth Centre in Sallowbush Road were treated to poppadums and a dish of their choice at The Darjeeling in Huntingdon High Street on Wednesday, May 24.
Denise Nelson, who organised the lunch trip and is deputy supervisor at the pre-school, said: "All the food was free, which was brilliant and it gave the children an excellent opportunity to sample a new cuisine. The kids had a great time and it was really nice to see so many of them trying new things that they maybe wouldn't try at home. They all loved the poppadums but a few of them pulled some funny faces when they tried the hot and spicy lime pickle.
