ONCE upon a time, many years ago, we had uniformed policemen walking the streets of our town. Now, all they do is ride around in cars.
More recently, we had community support officers walking the streets of our town, not even confining the walks to the town centre but reaching the parts policemen do not reach. Now I see they also ride around in cars.
Is this the way that Cambridgeshire police interpret the Government's supposed policy of more police on our streets?
