REPAIRS to the hole that appeared in Othello Close, Hartford, on June 15 (The Hunts Post, June 20) were completed on June 21, but the "small void" took 8.5 tonnes of material to fill it and a considerable area of tarmac to repair it and the surrounding collateral damage.
Normally in your paper we read criticisms of councillors and officials. On this occasion I have nothing but praise for officials and the council workforce. They were on site by lunchtime on June 15, and Tony King and his repair team did their best to keep disruption to a minimum. A big well done to all concerned.
