WHY not get your readers involved to seek out and find the last few traditional village pubs? (Calling time on traditional pubs, Hunts Post November 22.)
We are out here. Many new people move out to the villages for that country lifestyle, but don't support the local pub or clubs.
They feel the need to go to eating houses, instead of poping down the local for a meal. We are a small village pub, that tries to offer a good value for money menu in a traditional old pub, dating back to 1662, with open fires and beams.
But alas, the trend is to go retro and lose the old-fashioned feel. Let's hope people will want to help save their locals before they all get modernised and look the same.
