HIGH winds of over 50mph hit Cambridgeshire on Wednesday problems for motorists in the morning rush-hour.
At 7am police were called to reports that a caravan had blown off the back of a lorry.
No one was hurt and the vehicle was recovered from the A14 westbound carriageway between Alconbury and Spittals.
Just half an hour later police were called to the A14 between Histon and Milton after a palette blew off the back of a lorry.
At 8am cars on the M11 near to junction 10 had to swerve around another palette in the road which had blown off the back of a lorry.
Police were urging motorists to take care on the roads.
