Young writers, Lauren Whitham, 10, a pupil at Thongsley Fields School in Huntingdon and Alex Dachs, eight, from St Anne's School, Godmanchester, pictured, have won prizes for their stories.
They are winners in the RAW (reading and writing) contest run by BBC Radio Cambridgeshire with HuntsNet - the network of Huntingdonshire schools.
Five schools took part with 24 entries reaching the final.
Each child was given a postcard with the start of a story about two children on a spaceship and asked to continue the story.
The winners were chosen by Val Ford, headteacher of St Peter's School in Huntingdon and prizes were presented by the Mayor of Huntingdon, Jennifer Sarabia.
