Top hats and bustles were the official uniform for children at
Huntingdon Junior School when they stepped back in time to the Victorian era.
As part of their history studies, year five pupils were treated to a taste of school life in the 19th century, when strict discipline, the "Three Rs" and the Dunce's cap were all-important.
Preparing for their spring production Victorian Extravaganza this week, children were keen to try the fashions of the day and hear about the age of the industrial revolution. Teachers were also transformed into Victorian school mistresses for the day.
Pictured are year five pupils Bobby, Amy, Anakiya, Zoe, Shannon and George.
