A TRADITION dating from the 13th century will take place in Kimbolton today (Wednesday) with the arrival of the annual Statute Fair.
Hundreds of people of all ages are expected to fill the village High Street in the afternoon and evening to eat candy floss, test their driving skills on the bumper cars and find their way around a fun house.
The fair dates back to 1200 when the local lord of the manor Geoffrey Fitzpiers was given permission by King John to hold a fair and market in Kimbolton High Street.
