A DEDICATED young dressage competitor from Great Stukeley is looking for a sponsor to help her on her way to competing in the 2012 Olympics.

Heather Baker, 15, from Owl End has returned from Ireland where she took part in the Necarne Dressage Festival and was overall reserve champion.

She also received a first, second and third in the elementary level tests, competing with 200 other competitors over three days.

Heather, who is a member of the Dressage under 21s UK and attends Sawtry Community College, said: "I made so many friends and all the training in Gloucestershire over the winter was well worth it. I would like to thank my trainer Ruth Hurst for all her help."

Heather, who represented Great Britain at the Scottish Home International in 2004, competed in the Irish competition on her eight-year-old horse called Remember Rodgau, or Rodney as he is known at home.

Her mother Dorothy said: "Heather is very dedicated to her sport. She is doing so well at the moment, and with a sponsor she could do even better as the costs of travelling around to the competitions is very expensive. Any company that sponsors her will get to have their logo and name on her riding outfit."
