THE victim of a stab attack that took place on Monday (April 30) in Huntingdon High Street has been named as Commemoration Hall caretaker Roy Chandler.

The 45-year-old Huntingdon man received two stabs wounds to his chest and abdomen in the incident, which took place at 12.30pm and was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Huntingdon High Street was closed for more than three hours in the aftermath of the attack, which took place outside the Church and Compton opticians.

Susan Prior, 38, of Elm Close, Huntingdon appeared at Cambridge Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with causing grievous bodily harm. She will appear at Cambridge Crown Court on May 9.
