AN aircraft engineer from St Ives fell to his death in Cambridge last week.

The body of 58-year-old Robert Clancy was discovered near the Cambridge Corn Exchange just after 9am on Thursday.

Mr Clancy, of Robbs Walk, sustained head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was named by police on Monday (September 8).

Mr Clancy's body was found on Cambridge University-owned land in Parsons Court, Wheeler Street. It is believed he fell from the outside of a building.

Police are examining CCTV footage and an inquest will be held at a date yet to be set. A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
