Drivers have been warned that the Harrison Way bridge on St Ives bypass will be closed in both directions during much of the Bank Holiday weekend to enable emergency repairs to be carried out.
The bridge will be closed from midnight on Friday March 30 through to 5am on Monday April 2 and diversions will be signposted during the closure.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire County Council said: “Teams will be working through the day and night to carry out this urgent work to the bridge joints.
“We apologise for the inconvenience over the Easter weekend and we would normally avoid working over the Bank Holiday but the work has recently become urgent for safety reasons.”
