A 234,000 grant has been given to a Huntingdonshire group to promote sport in at villages across the district.
DASH (Delivering Activity and Sport in Huntingdonshire) has received the National Lottery funding from Sport England to provide sports at 17 villages.
These will include basketball, squash, archery, kayaking, sailing, indoor climbing, scuba diving, golf, dodgeball and ultimate frisbee
There will also be new sporting opportunities for young people who travel to school by bus and are unable to stay for after school clubs
Workers will also be encouraged to get active as there will be a programme to encourage them to take timeout during their lunch break and get into sport.
In addition there will be twilight activities for older teenagers and adults up to 25, and village sports festivals to encourage the families to get active.
