VOLUNTEERS are being urged to put on their bathing suits and take part in a national swimathon in April to raise money for a cancer charity.

The aim is to raise £1.8million for Marie Care Cancer Care and the Swimathon Foundation.

Duncan Goodhew, Olympic gold medalist and president of the foundation, said: "Swimathon is not only a great form of exercise for all, but a great team activity for friends, family and colleagues."

Sessions are taking place at Huntingdon Leisure Centre on Friday, April 18 from 6.30-8.30pm and on Saturday, April 19, from 4-6pm, Ramsey Leisure Centre on Saturday, April 19, from 4- 7pm and Sawtry Leisure Centre on Saturday, April 19, from 5.30-7.30pm.
