AS I am writing this letter, I can see exactly 41 people playing on the field outside my house. I am of course referring to the Riverside playing field in Huntingdon - a field that I have been informed by the council is intended to create a car park. After spending an hour on the council website I eventually managed to come across some plans of the so-called car park. A car park for 105 cars, as the planning letter quoted, it seems would require over a third of the field to create. Consider for a moment the building of a guided bus route that will, of course, destroy a section of our much-loved recreation area.
